Note: When I started this series, I didn’t yet know that we were just weeks away from beginning the next generation of our off-grid living adventure, this time in New Mexico. Much of what we learned in Montana made our new beginning in New Mexico possible. The roots are all right here.
When we first moved to Montana, I wrote a blog post titled “Building a Life by Hand”. In this offering of Winter is Coming, I take a look not at the logistics or elements of the first chapter of our Montana living experiment, but at the why behind it all.
